2012: America's Moment of Truth

“Truth does not do as much good in the world as the semblance of truth does evil.”
La Rochfoucaud

It would be foolish not to recognize that there are two opposing positions within American society. These two camps are separated by a majority of the population who have not been exposed to the "trendline" analysis that's been going on for some time. Instead of satiating the appetites for power the Patriot Act spurred politicians and bureaucrats alike to further reduce our individual liberties in the name of security. When the Department of Homeland Security becomes suspicious of veterans and other God-fearing Americans the Constitutional picture becomes more and more distorted. The threat of Orwellian tyranny is at our doorstep.

One group wants unrestricted control over society and considers the need to maintain "continuity of government" indispensable. As the current Administration demonstrates (e.g., Fast and Furious, Gibson Guitar, Coal Mine Closures), it will pursue its ends unchallenged despite its level of moral/ethical bankruptcy or its distance from the US Constitution. We must be concerned with those that are intent on retaining power at all costs and those they will co-opt within the ranks of professional politicians, federal bureaucracies (law enforcement especially), and the US military. Those who remain ignorant of the less than hidden coup d’etat that is taking place will become the instruments of oppression and the proximate cause of the second American Revolution.

The opposing group consists of citizens from all walks of life that have united or will unite to see the pre-eminence of our Constitution restored, large government made smaller, government spending reduced, and the elimination of our ballooning national debt that already threatens our children and their children. Most in this group, like the Founders, look to a peaceful resolution to our crisis and the pre-eminence of our Constitution restored. Most of these will not countenance an age of tyranny within our borders.

While the first group might be linked exclusively to the Democratic Party Progressives this is not the case, just as the second group does not solely consist of Tea Party activists. Nevertheless, those that discuss the potential for violence can certainly be found in both camps. The key difference between the two camps is that the Progressives seek to incite violence as a means to declare a “national emergency” to destroy their political opposition.

The new establishment has taken root over the past century through the consistent efforts of the Progressives in America aided by other un-American organizations. Much like the Tories of old, they would kneel to a monarch in the hope that this fealty would provide for land and title by decree. In the 20th century the radical "intelligentsia" dispensed with a monarch in favor of a permanent political elite. They dispensed with the Constitution in favor of a society with "evolving" standards; the latter put in place by the very same enemies of the Constitution. They would dispense with the rule of law to better temper their judgment to the exigencies of their quest at hand. They would force the “sale of tea” and the increase of taxes to fund their lavish programs and personal lifestyles. Finally, they would seek to disarm American citizens in the name of peace and order as did General Howe in Boston on the eve of our Revolution.

The anti-establishment is now comprised of those who for past generations have seen themselves as the guardians of mainstream values. While numerically or statistically speaking mainstream might be accurate, the advantage of leverage must be acknowledged as belonging to those who have gutted our public education, emptied the national treasury, crippled the rule of law, and debased the notion of public service to our nation. Even the few potential heroes on the horizon seem careful not to step out of their "gilded" place to tackle the larger and more damning national dangers. We who believe in the founding principles of our nation and the Founders' grand design, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, must come to terms with the radicalization of America and accept our necessary role as an anti-establishment force.

The politics of the Progressive Movement is a bi-partisan effort to destroy the Constitutional foundation of America and to eliminate our national values that support American excellence. Its members and fellow travelers would only look forward and dismiss history in order to overlook and forget the Constitution that must be our beacon. Anything less than a Constitutional Republic makes America no different than any other nation as represented in the body of the United Nations.

Those that would shred the Constitution see the end zone, and champion Obama as the quarterback they need to get the job done. A few are actively complicit in the shadowy plans for their Neo-Tory victory; most others have not given much thought to the methods or madness that swirls around them. The latter are contented with false praise, empty rhetoric, and the benefits of purchased loyalty. Finally, as in all conflicts, there are the cowards who will surrender anything and everything in order to avoid discomfort, danger or death. Their images are provided to us on CNN as part of the "reporting" overseas where lawlessness, corruption and violence abound. They are the disenfranchised, the dislocated refugees that rely on international "aid" to survive. It is interesting to note that the UN actions or aid programs have a beginning but no end and generally achieve little or nothing of substance. Not surprising when you consider that the assistance is not the priority; instead these new programs become profit centers and the source of bureaucratic propaganda.

So I must embrace the new anti-establishment and hope that November will bring a peaceful "victory" and a reversal of a century of Progressive subversion. I must also brace myself for the possibility of failure as a direct consequence of a Republic overly diluted by democracy. Nearly half of our electorate have been purposefully made ignorant of our history and our Constitution. Members of both political parties have set up preferential laws for elected officials and have allowed our elected leaders to profit from inside trading. Their rate of reimbursement is better, their healthcare is better and their early retirement benefits eclipse anything in the private sector. They have profited too long at our expense.

I have cited two items of interest on the news headlines today. Conspiracy revealed? No. But in light of a second Obama term where he will necessarily have "greater flexibility" the cited items bear thoughtful consideration.

The first shows the efforts of some "within the ranks" to shape a military disposition toward the attack on and subjugation of American citizens in the name of the Neo-Tory status quo. The illegal orders will be provided by the NCA (i.e., National Command Authority) to the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. FEMA will be in support. There will be a UN resolution in favor of this Progressive action against the Custodians of the Constitution orchestrated by the Department of State. The full force of federal oppression will be felt in any sector not clearly supportive of their imposed "status quo". Many who swore an oath to defend and protect the Constitution will have forgotten they did so and will sell their souls to the New Order.

The second item speaks to the law that allows the President to arbitrarily disregard State Rights and State autonomy. On the surface and in the hands of ethical/moral Americans it would not be a problem; in the hands of the corrupt, bent on the destruction (i.e., transformation) of America it is a "legal tool" to actively destroy the enemies of tyranny in the name of 21st century fascism in the United States of America.

For a long time I have attempted to educate and inform in order to see the revitalization of the Constitution as part of our political process. But I must admit in the face of a seemingly "close" election that the Constitution alone cannot help us, it is only as good as the People who stand by it. In that light I would urge each and every one to reach out to family and friends and decide once and for all where you stand.

Put aside the brand names, the spin and political diatribe: You are either for defending and preserving the US Constitution or you are not. Your answer and mine will illuminate the path we must walk. I hope we have the opportunity to travel together for the sake of our nation and the values that make true Americans different from any other citizen around the globe.

Strength and Honor.

Hugh

Re: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/aug/7/the-civil-war-of-2016/

Imagine Tea Party extremists seizing control of a South Carolina town and the Army being sent in to crush the rebellion. This farcical vision is now part of the discussion in professional military circles.

At issue is an article in the respected Small Wars Journal titled “Full Spectrum Operations in the Homeland: A ‘Vision’ of the Future.” It was written by retired Army Col. Kevin Benson of the Army's University of Foreign Military and Cultural Studies at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and Jennifer Weber, a Civil War expert at the University of Kansas. It posits an “extremist militia motivated by the goals of the ‘tea party’ movement” seizing control of Darlington, S.C., in 2016, “occupying City Hall, disbanding the city council and placing the mayor under house arrest.” The rebels set up checkpoints on Interstate 95 and Interstate 20 looking for illegal aliens. It’s a cartoonish and needlessly provocative scenario.

The article is a choppy patchwork of doctrinal jargon and liberal nightmare. The authors make a quasi-legal case for military action and then apply the Army’s Operating Concept 2016-2028 to the situation

Re: http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/10/333 10 USC § 333 -

Interference with State and Federal law USC-prelim US Code Notes Updates Authorities (CFR)

This preliminary release may be subject to further revision before it is released again as a final version. As with other online versions of the Code, the U.S. Code Classification Tables should be consulted for the latest laws affecting the Code. Those using the USCPrelim should verify the text against the printed slip laws available from GPO (Government Printing Office), the laws as shown on THOMAS (a legislative service of the Library of Congress), and the final version of the Code when it becomes available. Current through Pub. L. 112-123. (See Public Laws for the current Congress.)

The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy, if it—

(1) so hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or

(2) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws. In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution.

Now it's time to take a side and commit.
