Surviving the Coming Storm

“Let the history of the Federal Government instruct mankind that the mask of patriotism may be worn to conceal the foulest designs against the liberties of the people.”
Benjamin Bache, 1798

He has refused his assent to laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
He has forbidden his governors to pass laws of immediate and pressing importance,…
He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance.
He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his assent to their acts of pretended legislation:
For taking away our charters, abolishing our most valuable laws, and altering fundamentally the forms of our governments:
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us….
In every stage of these oppressions we have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms: our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.
Extract from the Declaration of Independence
(Instead of King George it’s beginning to describe grievances against the Federal Government, generally, and the current Administration, specifically.)

We in the United States are on the verge of a crisis not seen in all of our history. There is a conversion of forces and events that will precipitate a collapse of the US economy. The exacerbating component will be a political structure populated by persons no longer loyal to the Constitution and bent on the transformation of America into a National Socialist Democracy. The new America would then be stripped of the Constitution and placed under the governance of a world body. In any case, that is the intended plan of these “domestic enemies”. Therefore, the questions are: Can we withstand the coming economic collapse? Can we defend and support the Constitution against this open and flagrant attack? The answer to both these questions is YES.

America will face an economic collapse in the near-term; some experts think this year, some say next year. The point is that regardless of when it might occur we should be prepared to survive the storm of civil unrest, rebellion and violence that will accompany such an event. The unprepared will prey on those they think have prepared. The “domestic enemies” will attempt to guide the unprepared toward new solutions, to include the Progressive’s utopia of a World Government. Our priorities, by default, will become survival, security, and local governance. America must be rebuilt literally from the ground up; local stability then State cohesion, and, only then, the re-establishment of a much smaller federal government as the Founders intended. NGOs, lobbyists and extraneous federal politicians can then focus on finding meaningful work in the private sector.

The strength of America is found in the individual and that individual’s local community. That individual should represent each and every one of us but sadly there is a minority that is embedded within the media. This minority creates an illusion of great size and influence but it does not represent the average American. While Americans are busy with their careers and other important activities, the minority has positioned itself in media, entertainment, organized labor, foundations, schools, etcetera.

The first line of defense is individual and local. Think of three circles around you and develop from there. The first circle of defense is you, your family and your home. Each of us must be able to defend our own and survive for 3 to 6 months until confusion subsides and communities begin to function.

The second circle extends to your neighborhood, particularly your neighbors around you. The principles of neighborhood watch apply and the neighborhood will contain a variety of talent and experience that will be needed. Mutual support and cooperation will go a long way to reduce fear and increase community cohesion.

The third circle encompasses your town or perhaps your county. This third circle is what will preserve America; it is here that patriots can rebuild preserving the founding principles of our Constitution. Volunteerism will be critical as all individuals, including law enforcement and officials, might not be able to devote their full time to public service. Citizen volunteers must be ready to assist and provide depth so that critical services may be preserved. The town must locate and avail itself of local water and food sources; parks and other open spaces should be considered for planting of trees and shrubs that provide neighborhoods with food supplementation. Towns must provide their own security against gangs, looters and others who failed to plan or those that did not care to plan. Citizen auxiliaries under the leadership of local police, constables and county sheriffs will guarantee sufficient security to make federal intervention unnecessary. County sheriffs have the constitutional authority to keep federal authorities at bay. The Progressive minority will be insistent on nationalization, federalization and the imposition of martial law. The community I describe thwarts this strategy.

Communities must defend their integrity. With a major economic collapse banks will close and jobs will evaporate. In this scenario, mortgages payments become irrelevant and citizens may homestead in place. With shelter assured, a community can focus on coordinating for sources of food, water and security. Think of the experiences of our early pioneers and this concept becomes much more feasible. Also keep in mind that national default implicates each and every elected and appointed federal representative and nullifies their authority. Authority reverts to the States in the interim.

The military and law enforcement, if cognizant of their Oath of Office, must carefully balance their actions. It is not their duty to become the government as the Egyptian military has done. It is their duty to defend our nation and uphold its laws, consistent with the Constitution. They must support any actions taken to support and defend the Constitution and must thwart any efforts aimed at the destruction of our Republic. No easy task but an absolutely necessary one.

Finally, I return to the individual. Each of us must think this through so that America may be rebuilt in relative peace. But never lose sight that large global corporations, the plethora of socialist-Marxist-communist organizations and less than reputable politicians will not disappear and will not let this opportunity to “completely transform the United States of America” pass by without a fight. If each of us connects with our respective neighborhood and community we will not be isolated. So long as we are not isolated the forces of evil cannot prevail via fear, confusion, and intimidation.

Should the storm incomprehensibly pass us by we will gain by our preparations and better address our attention to…
a. Reducing the size and encroachment of federal government
b. Reducing Federal and State spending
c. Eliminating the national debt

E Pluribus Unum as brought to you by the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

Strength and Honor
